Saline Brow Tattoo Removal in Wolverhampton

Saline Brow Tattoo Removal

As a certified & award-winning brow artist in Wolverhampton, my passion lies in enhancing your natural beauty through the artistry of micropigmentation also known as PMU – Permanent Make-Up
and brow treatments. I understand that many of you seek initial brow perfection and a solution for refreshing and refining previous work that may be a year or two old.

When clients approach me for a “top-up” on their brows, I assess the condition of their skin and the saturation of existing ink. It’s crucial to consider that the skin is limited to how much ink it can retain. The ink remains in the skin even if the previous work has faded. Adding more ink on already saturated skin could result in a suboptimal outcome. The skin’s healing process may leave little to none of the new color, as the overloaded skin cannot hold any more pigment.

This is where the revolutionary technique of Saline Tattoo Brow Removal, or colour lifting, comes into play. In some cases, a complete removal of the previous work might be necessary for a fresh start. After thorough research, I chose to train with the esteemed Lisa Henning, the owner and developer of Botched Ink. Lisa has delved into various non-laser removal methods, not just saline solutions. Her extensive experience led her to formulate the exceptional Botched Ink solution I proudly use.

HOW DOES SALINE TATTOO REMOVAL WORK?

The process involves applying a solution of salt and saline to the treated area, effectively breaking down and lifting the existing pigment. Lisa’s innovative solution ensures remarkable results, allowing me to correct and refine brows, giving you the perfect canvas for a renewed brow tattoo experience.

Your satisfaction and confidence in your brows are my top priorities. Whether you’re looking for a top-up or a complete brow transformation, trust in the expertise and cutting-edge solutions I offer to bring out the best in your natural beauty.

I find in my industry many clients come to me to “correct” work done elsewhere, they are either unhappy with the brow shape or colour or in most cases both.

HOW IT WORKS –

Much like having a machine brow treatment I use a machine similar to a tattoo gun to cause superficial trauma to the skin and then soak the brow area with the solution. This is where the magic happens, the solution pulls up the pigment lifting it to the surface where we experience a flaking stage at which point some pigment will lift out, we repeat the process for the desired effect.
Treatment time is around one hour, the numbing cream is applied prior so can be painless throughout. You may experience a little stinging for a couple of minutes as the solution soaks.

AFTERCARE-

The brows will need to stay dry for 10 days or until the flaking has stopped.  A barrier cream will be applied 48hrs after treatment and then again if needed on the fourth day. Once the brows have completed flaking you are able to continue as normal.

If you have blue/grey/red colours to your brow’s I generally find on healing these colours will tend to become more brown so the healing process actually makes the brows a little more bearable.

scarring from microblading

Microblading itself if not done correctly can cause scaring within the brows, in particular the tails tend to scar more easily as this part of the brow has the thinnest skin so if pressure is not corrected whilst microblading then the incision will be too deep leaving the client with scaring.  Some noticeable and some not so noticeable,

The great thing about Botched Ink I’m experiencing is the solution actually helps break down that scaring which will then help lift unwanted pigment but also help hair regrowth as many also experience loss of hair after microblading. The old type of tattoo brows too can cause deeper scaring so again removal would be necessary to start healing those scars before we could then put new pigment in.

If the skin has scaring it will not hold new pigment.

I recommend clients commit to a minimum of 2-3 sessions. Depending on the age of the pigment and the number of times they have been worked on will all determine how much work is needed.  8 weeks of healing is needed between each removal session, and 12 weeks of healing is needed before we can start your new brows.  It can not be rushed, and the skin must completely heal before we start further work.  This is not a quick turn around you must be committed to your appointments to see the best results.

  • The treated area must be allowed to fully dry out over the next 48 hours.
  • For most people the area is touch dry within the first few hours.
  • Only touch with very clean hands, ideally no touching for 48 hours.
  • If the skin is not allowed to dry out quickly you will not get the best results.

This single application will last for 3 to 4 days, leaving a soft film over the scab, which can be reapplies day 4 if needed

  • At no time can you pick off attached scabs, you will cause unwanted results.
Skin prone to hyperpigmentation
  • For those prone to hyperpigmentation, follow ‘First 48 hours’ advice. After 48 hours the scab and surrounding skin must NOT be allowed to dry out or hyperpigmentation can occur.
  • Re-apply Cavilon cream every 2 or 3 days until skin until skin returns to a normal colour.

After the scab heals off:

  • The pigment may look visibly lighter or different for the first 1-8 weeks
  • These are not considered results, it’s your skin healing and the remaining pigment settling.
  • You can begin using makeup on the area if desired.
  • Treat the area gently, no exfoliating or excessive sun exposure.
  • The second treatment can be carried out after 8 weeks.
  • Treatment cycle is 8 weeks, 8 weeks, 12 weeks and repeated as required.
  • We leave a longer time if the skin has not returned to a normal colour.
The Removal Process

Removing, improving or lightening pigment is a process which may take several sessions Mature or saturated tattoos may initially respond slowly
After 3 treatments we’ll have a better idea how easily the pigment is removing
Pigment may look darker before it gets lighter, especially if was implanted deeply Pigment that’s closer to the surface removes easier
Brown pigment is made up of black, white, yellow, red and green Black pigment usually removes first, making other colours more visible Grey brows may look browner, or warmer colours may begin to show
Tattoo removal is a process with many variables, therefore how much pigment is removed during each visit, or how many visits are needed, cannot be known or guaranteed
Failure to follow these aftercare instructions may reduce the effect of the treatment and may result in undesired problems such as hyperpigmentation, scarring or infection. In the unlikely event of an infection, your technician cannot give medical advice, so immediately seek attention from a GP

Course Treatment Lengths

Any kind of tattoo removal is a process, it’s worth mentally and financially committing to a course of 3 treatments so we can assess how easily the pigment is removing from your skin
• Most clients see improvements after 2 or 3 sessions
• Initially, the pigment may look darker before it gets lighter
• Pigment that sits deep in the skin comes up to the surface
• This makes removal easier in further sessions
For some the goal is complete removal, others are looking for lightening so the area can be re-worked. During the removal process, we are assessing and responding to the pigment, how deep it sits in the skin is the area saturated with pigment and skin stain (the russet, lilac and warm colours) from years of top-ups. The fresher the tattoo, the easier it is to remove
