Microblading Removal Penn
because you are beautifulMicroblading removal near Penn
I find in my industry many clients come to me to “correct” work done elsewhere, they are either unhappy with the brow shape or colour or in most cases both.
I also find clients that will come to have their brows “topped up” after previous work has been done elsewhere maybe a year or two old. In these case’s I need to look at the skin and see how saturated it is with ink. The skin can only hold so much ink even if faded the ink is still in the skin so to add more when it’s still pretty saturated will only end up in a bad job. The skin will heal and there will be little to none of the new colour left as the skin simply could not hold any more.
That’s where colour lifting or lightening comes in and in some cases full removal is needed. I use a solution of salt & saline and after researching the best out there I decided to train with Lisa Henning (owner and developer of Botched Ink), she has trained and tried many other different types of non-laser removal, not just saline. She then went on to develop her own Botched Ink solution and I am experiencing amazing results.
scarring from microblading
Microblading itself if not done correctly can cause scaring within the brows, in particular the tails tend to scar more easily as this part of the brow has the thinnest skin so if pressure is not corrected whilst microblading then the incision will be too deep leaving the client with scaring. Some noticeable and some not so noticeable,
The great thing about Botched Ink I’m experiencing is the solution actually helps break down that scaring which will then help lift unwanted pigment but also help hair regrowth as many also experience loss of hair after microblading. The old type of tattoo brows too can cause deeper scaring so again removal would be necessary to start healing those scars before we could then put new pigment in.
If the skin has scaring it will not hold new pigment.
HOW IT WORKS –
Much like having a machine brow treatment I use a machine similar to a tattoo gun to cause superficial trauma to the skin and then soak the brow area with the solution. This is where the magic happens, the solution pulls up the pigment lifting it to the surface where we experience a flaking stage at which point some pigment will lift out, we repeat the process for the desired effect.
Treatment time is around one hour, the numbing cream is applied prior so can be painless throughout. You may experience a little stinging for a couple of minutes as the solution soaks.
AFTERCARE-
The brows will need to stay dry for 10 days or until the flaking has stopped. A barrier cream will be applied 48hrs after treatment and then again if needed on the fourth day. Once the brows have completed flaking you are able to continue as normal.
If you have blue/grey/red colours to your brow’s I generally find on healing these colours will tend to become more brown so the healing process actually makes the brows a little more bearable.
I recommend clients commit to minimum 2-3 sessions. Depending on the age of the pigment and the amount of times they have been worked on will all determine how much work is needed. 8 weeks healing is need between each removal session and 12 weeks needed healing before we can start your new brows. It can not be rushed and is essential the skin has completely healed before we start further work. This is not a quick turn around o you must be committed to your appointments to see the best results.
For those looking for brow correction – removal and then new brows created I offer a discount on your removal. This discount will be applied onto your new brow treatment price.

The Removal Process
Removing, improving or lightening pigment is a process which may take several sessions Mature or saturated tattoos may initially respond slowly
After 3 treatments we’ll have a better idea how easily the pigment is removing
Pigment may look darker before it gets lighter, especially if was implanted deeply Pigment that’s closer to the surface removes easier
Brown pigment is made up of black, white, yellow, red and green Black pigment usually removes first, making other colours more visible Grey brows may look browner, or warmer colours may begin to show
Tattoo removal is a process with many variables, therefore how much pigment is removed during each visit, or how many visits are needed, cannot be known or guaranteed
Failure to follow these aftercare instructions may reduce the effect of the treatment and may result in undesired problems such as hyperpigmentation, scarring or infection. In the unlikely event of an infection, your technician cannot give medical advice, so immediately seek attention from a GP
Course of Treatments
Any kind of tattoo removal is a process, it’s worth mentally and financially committing to a course of 3 treatments so we can assess how easily the pigment is removing from your skin
• Most clients see improvements after 2 or 3 sessions
• Initially, the pigment may look darker before it gets lighter
• Pigment that sits deep in the skin comes up to the surface
• This makes removal easier in further sessions
For some the goal is complete removal, others are looking for lightening so the area can be re-worked. During the removal process, we are assessing and responding to the pigment, how deep it sits in the skin is the area saturated with pigment and skin stain (the russet, lilac and warm colours) from years of top-ups. The fresher the tattoo, the easier it is to remove
